Cultured Stone
General Overview
- Cultured stone has been around for many years – your grandparents may have had it in their bathroom.
- Often associated with poor quality, the technology has greatly improved over the years. You no longer have to worry about the “spider webbing” in the sink caused by repeated hot and cold water cycles.
- Today’s cultured stone tops are high quality and look great. Many colors are available – from imitation marble to solid colors to patterns that look like solid surface tops.
- For bathrooms only. While these tops are extremely durable, the manufacturers still do not recommend them in high usage areas where harsh impacts are common like a kitchen.
- Integrated backsplashes and sinks are standard fare for this product, though you can use set-on splashes and drop-in or under-mount sinks if you wish.
- The nature of this product makes it ideal for vanity tops as well as shower panels and pans.
- 100% repairable.
- Great price point. More than laminate, but less than solid surface materials.
